Logo With BordersThe Lebanese Cinema Movie Guide Awards is a first of its kind event in Lebanon, held on a yearly basis to honor the finest work in the film industry, both locally and internationally. The award ceremony, is held at Vox Cinemas, the largest theater in Lebanon, where all the film industry is united in one night, from filmmakers, distributors and exhibitors. The voting system is split between the Jury, which includes the best critics and key media personalities working in this field, and the online voting, which also gives the fans a chance, to be a part of this special event. Last year Gravity led the award ceremony with 7 wins including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actress in A Leading Role. While the local film Ghadi took home the award for Best Lebanese Movie Of The Year. The ceremony also celebrated the work of Georges Khabbaz by presenting him the first Cinematic Achievement Award for all his work to date including Under The Bombs, Ghadi, Void (Waynon) and more. The ceremony was followed by a premiere screening of the highly anticipated film 300: Rise Of An Empire, which was presented in Dolby Atmos 3D. Nominees for the second annual Lebanese Cinema Movie Guide Awards were announced at a press conference on December 15 at Vox Cinemas.
